Sage is a perennial herb that is native to the Southwestern United States. It's picked while still leafy and vigorous, then dried and bundled. Sage has potential antibacterial properties.Sage is used in smudging rituals. To smudge with Sage, begin by lighting the Sage. Place sage into a burning vessel such as an abalone shell and use your hand to fan out any flame. Clear your mind of negativity and allow positivity to flow. Use the feather to waft the smoke with your intentions.Sage helps to remove negativity from a space.

Abalone comes from a large mollusk shell that is found in the shallow coastal waters. Usually, the material is brown to grey hue. It is known for its iridescent rainbow that shows different colors depending on the angle. Abalone shells are only found around the coast of New Zealand.
Abalone helps one become more in tune with their intuition to better express creativity. Often, abalone shells are used as a vessel for cleansing in a smudging ritual. Sage is burned inside the shell as an offering, therefore, Abalone represents Inventiveness and Offerings.
Abalone shells have been used for many years as a bowl to burn sage, wood, or sweet grass. They are also used for crafts, home decorating and used in jewelry.

Palo Santo is similar to Sage in its smudging abilities, as it purifies and cleanses energies and banishes misfortune and evil spirits, therefore, Palo Santo represents Protection and Purification.
You will receive 3 pieces of wood
Each piece of wood is approx. 4 inches long
How to burn Palo Santo:
1) ALWAYS use caution while burning Palo Santo
2) Ignite your stick of Palo Santo with fire
3) Keep the flame directly onto the stick and once a good burn is going, remove the direct flame, and let it burn for approximately 30 seconds to 1 minute
4) Carefully blow out the burning stick
5) Use the grey smoke the cleanse your living space, stones, car, anywhere you feel it’s necessary
6) When finished cleansing, set the smoldering stick into an abalone shell or glassware. Use something that will not burn.
